Sustainability

Sustainability is the essence of Ecopro Consultancy.

Sustainability guides every decision made, recognising the pivotal role businesses play in shaping the future of our planet.

This commitment drives Fiona to continually explore ways to minimise environmental impact, reduce carbon emissions and support biodiversity conservation initiatives to drive change in our industry and support the decarbonisation of the tourism sector.

Actions speak louder than words, so let’s take a look at what EcoPro Consultancy has done so far…

  • Renewable Energy used with the office powered by solar PV
  • Office equipment recycled via Terracycle and TechCollect
  • Recycled stock paper utilised for any printing
  • All is Waste separated, with recycling and onsite composting practices

Ecopro seeks to have as little impact as possible on our ecosystem and understands you can’t manage what you don’t measure.

So, to work towards creating a positive impact, EcoPro Consultancy …

  • Completes a Carbon Footprint Calculator annually to monitor resource use and continues to take steps to reduce office, travel, and transport emissions
  • Contributes to planting trees via Reforest who partner with local projects that are run by the community, have a high degree of transparency and are working to reduce CO2, generate biodiversity and deliver social benefits
  • Commits to purchase one tree each month, since 2024, to be planted at Mabi Forest Restoration Project on the Atherton Tablelands, in the Wet Tropics region of Far North Queensland. Please see EcoPro Impact Profile via Reforest.

Cod Hole & Ribbon Reef Operators Association: CHARROA President Craig Stephen 2023 www.charroa.org.au

“CHARROA is an association responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upkeep of vessel moorings within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and Coral Sea Marine Park. Ecopro Consultancy Services were engaged to draft approval applications to install mooring infrastructure in the Coral Sea Marine Park when it was proclaimed in 2018 and for a grant application to secure funds for environmentally friendly moorings. With the success of both applications CHARROA and its associated partners, designed and installed the new moorings in the Marine Park, with a final completion date due by June 2024.”
