Sustainability

Sustainability is the essence of Ecopro Consultancy.

Sustainability guides every decision made, recognising the pivotal role businesses play in shaping the future of our planet.

This commitment drives Fiona to continually explore ways to minimise environmental impact, reduce carbon emissions and support biodiversity conservation initiatives to drive change in our industry and support the decarbonisation of the tourism sector.

Actions speak louder than words, so let’s take a look at what EcoPro Consultancy has done so far…

  • Renewable Energy used with the office powered by solar PV
  • Office equipment recycled via Terracycle and TechCollect
  • Recycled stock paper utilised for any printing
  • All is Waste separated, with recycling and onsite composting practices

Ecopro seeks to have as little impact as possible on our ecosystem and understands you can’t manage what you don’t measure.

So, to work towards creating a positive impact, EcoPro Consultancy …

  • Completes a Carbon Footprint Calculator annually to monitor resource use and continues to take steps to reduce office, travel, and transport emissions
  • Contributes to planting trees via Reforest who partner with local projects that are run by the community, have a high degree of transparency and are working to reduce CO2, generate biodiversity and deliver social benefits
  • Commits to purchase one tree each month, since 2024, to be planted at Mabi Forest Restoration Project on the Atherton Tablelands, in the Wet Tropics region of Far North Queensland. Please see EcoPro Impact Profile via Reforest.

Austrian Rafting Federation Bid for Australia to Host World Rafting Championships: Chrisso Fulton www.austraftfed.com.au  2018

Fiona worked with the Australian Rafting Federation (ARF) committee and tourism stakeholders to develop logistical and marketing plans to evidence how the Tully River and ARF personnel would meet the stringent International Rafting Federation requirements to host a World Championship. Fiona supported the ARF Committee in co-ordinating with numerous stakeholders to mobilise commitments of support and then drafted a successful Bid submission with the World Championship events to be hosted on the world-renowned Tully River.
