Lake Morris Canyoning and Camping Product Development and Commercial Activity Approval Raging Thunder Adventures – 2016

Development of Business Case Analysis for both camping and canyoning tour products adhering to the Lake Morris Recreational Management Plan. Drafting Commercial Activity Management Plans and Environmental and Risk Management Plans to support Raging Thunder Adventures’ EOI submissions. Consultancy resulted in Cairns Regional Council Commercial Activity Approvals for Lake Morris and the launch of a unique Canyoning product in Cairns.

Spirit of Freedom GBRMPA Special Interest Permit EIO Submission – 2010

Consultancy services to document Spirit of Freedom’s Expression of Interest to Conduct Activity of Swimming with Minke Whales in Cairns GBRMPA Planning Area. Resulted in approval of Swim with Minke Whales as an endorsed permit activity enabling Spirit of Freedom to deliver and market dedicated Minke Whale immersive tours in winter months.

Grant Funding Applications

 

Cod Hole and Ribbon Reef Operators Association (CHARROA) Grant Submission- 2020

Consultancy Services to draft a Department of Environment and Energy grant application to secure funds for environmentally friendly moorings. The success of the Commonwealth Grant enabled CHARROA to design and install environmentally sensitive moorings. The shared mooring infrastructure serves to future proof access to Coral Sea Dive sites for CHARROA members while safeguarding the reef site environments.

Bloomfield Wilderness Lodge TQUAL Grant Airstrip All Weather Access Upgrade – 2013

All Weather Access Airstrip Development Business Case Analysis and TQUAL Tourism Quality Grant submission drafted in consultation with management team at Bloomfield Lodge and Hinterland Aviation and with support from key stakeholders including Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council. Successful grant application resulted in 100k funding for all weather access airstrip upgrade.

Cairns Turtle Rehab QTIC Prize for Innovation in Tourism – 2014

As a Volunteer with Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre, I drafted the Centre’s Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) Innovation in Tourism Award submission with the runner up prize recognising Fitzroy Turtle Encounter which raises awareness while also providing for the Centre’s financial sustainability.
